Don’t know what Exchange Web Services is? Use a service such as Gmail, Yahoo or AOL?

You may be interested in the new IMAP version of Outlook Notify, all the same features but with support for your favourite mail provider!

Sign up to the newsletter to be notified of the Outlook Notify IMAP release (due first week of December)

So Microsoft still haven’t included a notification tool that works when Outlook is closed? New for all POP3 accessible accounts, Outlook Notify!

Please note: This program is aimed at those without access to a full Exchange 2007/2010 server which provides Exchange Web Access. The regular Outlook Notify is recommended in this environment.

Also note that Gmail accounts work but due to the nature of how Gmail works, if you have more than 290 unread email “anywhere” in the Gmail system (including archives but not read) the program will fail to work! I am working on fixing this asap.

Features

  • Small, discreet icon sits in your system tray and notifies you of any new email.
  • Configure how often you want the program to check for new emails.
  • Click on the notification to open your email, be it Outlook or even Outlook Web Access – ideal for those working from home!
  • Fully tested with Microsoft Terminal Services and Citrix XenApp environments.
